This morning, I spoke with Tom at Mayor Rob Ford’s office by phone. I called to voice my support for the Occupy Toronto movement. I was very grateful for the 20 minutes that he gave me. I still support the entire Occupy Movement, and wholeheartedly disagree with Tom and Mayor Ford. Here’s the call in its entirety.

This is gold! The way he avoided the question of whether there were enough people calling Rob to influence a decision, is a great representation of democracy as we have it.

Tom does a great job of continually deflecting the question and doesn’t leave room for any nuance in his responses. It’s hardly surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.
